Ms. Freda and Ms. George would like to know what everyone learned on this field trip. Please add a comment about your experience. It may include social learning with school mates, teachers, librarians, culture, restuarant service, food, langauge, literature, or the Stamford community.
For example, I met many new people who work in the community such as Yelena Klompus. I learned about her job as the Language Librarian and how she was so kind to work with our school, and what types of individuals she works with as well as exposure to the wonderful resources she recommended for Langauge Learning.
I could have also commented about a member of the staff from Lola's, or from the Ferguson Library; my own personal experience with language software, a relevant conversation with a classmate regarding Spanish or literacy, geographic information about the Stamford community.

Field Trip (excursión)
We had un tiempo fabuloso el viernes pasado. Yo pienso que nosotros aprendemos mucho! La programa de computadora es maravillosa! Espero que reciben tu tarjetas de la biblioteca prono.
I thought everything was great, from the walk there to the arrival back at school. It was good to get out of the building and experience the weather in the middle of a February day, see locals walking, meet professionals in the fields of library and restaurant mangement.
The mango languages learning program was very beneficial, especially now that all can access the expensive program for free with their library card. The program costs $79 if purchased individually.
We saw the students interacting with the program so well--exploring many different languages. Everyone was thoroughly engaged for at least 30 minutes. The overview by Ms. Klompus was beneficial as she revealed some other recommendations for studying languages.
It was great to visit the library. I think the students enjoyed visiting the Youth/Teen area, especially since they were allowed to select a free Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) book to take home with them!
